וַיֹּ֕אמֶר אִם־יָב֥וֹא עֵשָׂ֛ו אֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶ֥ה הָאַחַ֖ת וְהִכָּ֑הוּ וְהָיָ֛ה הַמַּחֲנֶ֥ה הַנִּשְׁאָ֖ר לִפְלֵיטָֽה׃
Denn er dachte: Wenn Esau über das eine Lager kommt und es schlägt, so kann das übriggebliebene Lager entrinnen.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And he said, If Esau come to the one troop of them and smite it, the remaining troop may escape.
